What about downtime, side effects and risks?

Unlike ablative lasers, genesis treatment has no downtime. Although it may cause a slight flush on the skin that lasts for up to 3 hours post-treatment, there is no peeling or surface damage. In fact, some patients opt to have this treatment during their lunch break.

Possible risks associated with the treatment include mild discomfort or pain that can be easily tolerated. There is also a slight chance of experiencing redness and swelling of the skin post-treatment, although this is rare. Skin bruising is uncommon after the treatment.
